The Digital Production Unit (DPU)
By digitizing and linking up thousands of course materials each semester, the unit allows students to access course text and streaming media materials 24/7 via the Library's Course Reserve system. DPU works in collaboration with eLearning to process media for streaming on faculty Blackboard pages.
Digital Production also processes requests for books to be placed on physical reserve and makes them available for students to check-out.
Thanks to the efforts of DPU, the Library is able to share globally its collections of historical photographs, slides, negatives, text and multimedia materials by preparing them for inclusion on the Cleveland Memory Project website and on other related electronic resources.
Maintaining the Library's digital image archive and ensuring image quality and viability, DPU additionally supports a reproduction service for those images in a variety of formats. See DPU Formats & Fees for more information or go to the online Order Form.
Print and Finishing Services
Utilizing the latest professional-quality print and vacuum press dry mount equipment, the unit offers standard and oversize print production along with dry mount and laminating services for the Library's physical space and events as well as a fee-based service available to the campus and community.
