Borrow, renew, & return books & textbooks

Regular circulating materials may be checked out, renewed, and returned at the User Services Center. Material may be checked out using your Viking Card, and renewed up to 4 times if no one else is requesting the item. More about borrowing books

The print textbook center is located behind the user services desk. Any CSU student with a valid Viking Card may borrow these textbooks to use for a 2-hour loan at no cost.

You can renew Library items in person, by phone: (216) 687-2479, or online through the View Your Own Record function in SCHOLAR, our online catalog. Materials may be returned directly to the User Services Center or to the after-hours book drop outside the front entrance to Rhodes Tower.

Borrow keys, charging cables, dry erase markers and more

In addition, you may borrow keys to the Virginia McFrederick Study CenterGroup Project Rooms on the 1st floor, Quiet Study Rooms on the 2nd floor, charging cables and adapters for iPhones and Androids, and dry erase markers.

Pay a fines rent a locker, send a FAX

Staff at the User Services Center can also help you rent a Library locker, send a FAX, resolve an overdue fine, initiate a request to find missing books, or help direct you to other service points in the Library.

OhioLINK & Interlibrary Loan

You may pick up your OhioLINK and InterLibrary Loan materials at the the User Services Center. OhioLINK materials may be renewed up to six times as long as no one has placed a hold on the item. InterLibrary Loan renewals vary. See also, Borrowing Books & Other Materials.

Six stand-up public workstations are available near the User Services Center for quick Internet access.
