     GC to consider everything pertaining to graduate studies for the first quarter and after that define certain groups and committees with specific responsibilities.

     Agreed that the chair and others from the initiating department should be invited when GC is evaluating a graduate degree program.

     Dean Corbin indicated that it would be to CSU's advantage if the guidelines on timing were such that graduate program proposals cleared GC, FC, the Trustees, and the State Graduate Deans' Comm. by 9/1. Then North Central's inspection team could arrive before year's end. It is essential that proposal for initiation in the fall be cleared by Jan. 1.

	 Confirmed that Graduate Council meetings are not open meetings. Guest attendees will be called when their proposals are being considered.
