SALARY & FRINGE BENEFIT RECOMMENDATIONS see: 6/09/71 2/06/80 2/02/83 3/07/84 2/11/87 12/09/87 6/12/91 Ad Hoc Committee proposals to resolve Faculty Salary Inequity tabled and returned. 6/12/91 Ad Hoc Committee instructed to meet with FAC ad hoc subcommittee on the issue of Faculty Salary Inequity. 1/15/92 Approved the Salary Recommendations Subcommittee's recommendations. 1) Faculty salaries be made the highest budget priority and that CSU be at least 2% above the FY 1993 state average. 2) Administration should indefinitely extend the freeze on positions and set a cap on the number of full-time employees; the cap should remain in place until faculty salaries return to FY 1984 level relative to the state average. 3) Faculty Senate should approve an appropriate budget for the Subcommittee to invite collective bargaining agents and other knowledgeable individuals to campus in order to examine the collective bargaining issue. 4) First two pages of the Subcommitte's report summary be distributed to all faculty and that the whole report be sent to all departments and the library. 2/12/92 Approved no confidence motion in the University Administration to keep it word about the administration of future salary increases. 3/11/92 Motion requesting further clarification of the term "administration" as used in the resolution of no confidence passed 2/12/92, failed. 3/9/94 FAC proposed policy on competetive offers withdrawn. 4/13/94 FAC proposed policy on competetive offers tabled. 5/11/94 Approved resolution on competetive offers to express the moral sense of the Faculty's will.
