     FAC brought before FC the disputed matter of tenure for Edward Chitlik. 
Tenured C-M faculty did not acquiesce in FAC's jurisdiction in the matter which threatened the Univ.'s internal governance mechanism. Adopted resolution re-affirming internal procedures and asking all parties to cooperate with internal agencies handling faculty complaints and grievances. FC censure motion to be taken up at special FC meeting of April 25, 1973.

     Resolved that difference among colleagues must be settled in accord with University personnel policies and by-laws as passed by FC and approved by Trustees. Any future differences in interpretation of By-Laws shall be resolved by FC.
