                                                  Abstract

                      The proposed one-quarter professional leave will be devoted to writing
                six to eight chapters of my next book entitled, Makina ethical decisions: A auide
                to responsible practice for counselors and therapists.  The prospectus is in
                preparation and preliminary discussions with the publisher have been very
                encouraging.  In addition, I plan to submit an article to the Journal of Counselina
                and Development entitled, "Personality correlates of burnout in school
                counselors".  Next, I plan to revise EDE 731: Psychopathology for Counselors
                to include more attention to disorders of childhood and adolescence and more
                material on the controversy about biological bases of mental disorders.  Finally,
                I plan to read several nbw books on the MMPI for EDE 779: Personality
                Assessment for Counselors.
