Approved dissolving the ad hoc comm. and that a new enlarged ad hoc comm. be appointed by the President to represent all groups of professional members of the University. FAC report on several tenure dispute cases. 3/1/72 Steering Comm. requested to establish an ad hoc comm. to investigate possible sources of funds to support sabbatical leaves. 11/15/72 FAC report: President Cabinet soon to submit a report on proposed Personnel Policies changes to FAC; advises postponing further consideration until FAC has had a chance to study the report. 5/23/73 Series of amendments with 3 underlying principles referred to FAC for restudy and requested President to appoint a committee to assist in re-drafting the document. 1) Faculty involvement in personnel action. 2) Recognition of principle of share authority with recognition that the faculty cannot have an absolute voice in personnel matters. 3) Expectation that faculty recommendations in personnel matters would be overruled only with significant reason. 10/10/73 FAC progress report received.
