	Approved amended proposal to indicate that the faculty member needs to “communicate” to the student the misconduct either in a meeting or by email.

	Policy amended: communication with a student need not involve a meeting; a faculty member may simultaneously apply a sanction and communicate this to a student, with possibility that sanction may be reversed if subsequent communication with student dissuades faculty member from belief that there has been misconduct.
