Visit local venues where printmakers, paper sculptors, conservators, and bookbinders are exploring, creating, preserving, and exhibiting works that use one of humankind's greatest technologies: books and paper. Octavofest Kick-Off at the Cleveland Public Library

"Curator, Educator, Artist: The Book Arts Revealed"- Opening Reception & Panel Discussion - with Cristine Rom, Gund Library Director at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Barbara Stanczak, Professor of Art at the Cleveland Institute of Art, and Bonné de Blas, Director of Art Books Cleveland.
- The panel will discuss aspects of the artistic and visual experience of Book Arts such as collecting and exhibiting, composition and craftsmanship, and creation and marketing of these unique works.

Tour CSU’s fabulous new Student Center with Sandra Emerick, Associate Dean of Students. The tour will focus on the art and architecture of the building, including a special viewing of the Depression era mural by artist Elmer Brown, restored by the Intermuseum Conservation Association. - Dinner - On your own, at Bar Uno Restaurant in the Student Center or at a variety of eateries in the area.
